The aircraft is one of the most complex technical systems, which has overwhelming popularity and bright future. The one who has generated the knowledge to create it will be able to master any technique, any production and any other knowledge, whether economic, legal or informational. Our mission is to be a source of progress in mechanical engineering: aircraft engineering, marine engineering, automotive engineering and railway engineering.

About

The predecessor of the present-day Department for Aircraft Manufacturing, the Department of Production and Organization of Aircraft Production, was established two years after foundation of Kazan Aviation Institute (KAI), in October 1934. Today the Department for Aircraft Manufacturing has 4 professors, 9 associate professors, 15 PhD students (42 employees in total). The department closely links all the educational and research activities with the needs of the aviation, rocket engineering and engineering industries.

Areas of work

In order to follow its mission, the department performs three main tasks:

Computer modelling training on aircraft construction, materials technology, engineering and strength calculation of all the types of aircrafts, modern technology of production engineering and designing of metal and composite details	Pursuance of basic and applied researches in IT and production from composite	Retraining of engineering personnel. Advanced training of engineering and pedagogical staff

Equipment

We strive to be modern in all aspects of our activities. Every year we not only improve the ability to use modern technological equipment, but also replenish the stock of new equipment.

21 laboratories	30 modern equipment	the area of 1200 square meters. m.

All of the above gives us the status of an institution with a high level of technical equipment, that allows us to provide our students with everything necessary for conducting educational activities.
